“ROOT24” is a tribute to La Raiz Magazine. It is not a La Raiz sponsored or hosted exhibit but an independent collaborative exhibit supported by La Raiz magazine and one of its 2 time contributors, Eric Murphy.
La Raíz Magazine founded by Elizabeth Jiménez Montelongo, expands culturally-relevant arts engagement opportunities to create, present, publish, and experience creative works that celebrate shared culture and inspire conversation on important issues. La Raíz consciously creates space for the publication and presentation of creative work by people who identify as women, girls, and members of the global majority (People of Color, BIPOC); with an emphasis on work by people whose heritage is rooted in lands that are now Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America, who identify as: Chicana/o, Indigenous, Raza, from their country of origin, Latinx, or Hispanic. https://rootsartistregistry.com/laraiz.html

Studios Eleven holds eleven individual and diverse artist studios, a gallery and a large communal space. Conveniently located near Jack London Square, with easy parking, Studios Eleven regularly participates in Oakland Art Murmur/ First Fridays, and has gallery shows featuring Studios 11 artists or guest artists.
