Together, we are bringing the community together to:
Strengthen the rapid response and mutual aid networks our communities have built
Dig deeper into critical issues our communities face, including surveillance and criminalization, threats to hard won rights and more
Lay the groundwork for organizing our neighbors and communities to take action
Make meaning and heal through community, art, and music
This is a moment to come together, support one another, and channel our energy into collective action. We hope to see you there!

A Call to Action!
Dear Friend of Teatro,
As results of our recent national, state, and local elections continue to be announced, we at Teatro Visión are compelled to reaffirm our vision of a community of equity, peace, and justice nurtured through the arts. We continue to stand in solidarity with immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, and all those who face oppression in this country.
In this challenging week that highlights the divisions in our communities, we look to our commonalities—art, stories, shared experiences—to bring us together.
We must recognize that many among us are suffering great pain and fear for our collective future. At the same time, we confront the reality that others in our community are not dismayed by the results of this election. The choices we and our fellow community members make are complex, rooted in a desire for social change, whether or not we agree on a shared vision for that change.
We carry in our DNA centuries of uncertainty, marred by colonialism, white supremacy, and patriarchy, but guided towards justice by the power of cultura y comunidad. For many in our community, the concepts of justice, equity, and belonging are still just that, concepts and not yet realities.
We call on community members of all walks of life to come together and recommit to building a more just society together.
We must recognize that even when our values and ideologies may align, the everyday existence in this society is experienced differently in every individual, and that such alignment does not guarantee justice nor equity, or erasure of oppression. Racial, gender, linguistic, and health disparities prevail even in the cases where our values and ideologies may align.
We have power within ourselves as individuals and as a collective to transform our world. As artists, we have tools to articulate complexities that words cannot.
Let us use our collective creativity to continue fighting for the right to live and thrive in this country. Seamos la luz que ilumina nuestro sendero.
¡Unidos, tenemos el poder to fight towards social justice!
