Storytelling (The Stories That Connect Us All), we’ll lean into the narratives that have yet to be told — the quiet voices within us, the untold cuentos held in our bones, the whispers we’ve long carried but never spoken aloud.

With gentle guidance from writer and performer Cristal González Ávila, participants will explore story through body memory, breath (nuestros suspiros), imagination games, and community dialogue.

Together we’ll ask:

What stories are waiting to be told through us?
What truths have lived in silence, and how do we make space for them?
What characters, themes, and journeys mirror our own or reveal the gaps in how we see one another?

We’ll also consider: ¿Cuáles son las historias que nos conectan y las que nos mantienen sin poder vernos?

(What are the stories that connect us, and what are the ones that keep us from truly seeing each other?)

By the end of this session, each filmmaker will leave with a story seed — a clear beginning or spark — to nurture into their next cinematic project.
