🎺A medley of the music of Teatro Visión.
As longtime audience members know, our productions have always been bursting with song and dance. Russell Rodríguez, the composer of the music of Macario and Departera, and several veteran Teatro musicians, will play a special tribute to our musical history, from huelga songs to rancheras to original music created in community workshops.
🏅Awards and honors.
Not only will we receive commendations from our local, state, and national supporters, but we’ll also honor the key players who have shaped our teatro into what it is today.

🎭A new acto sobre la historia de Teatro Visión.
In the spirit of the Chicano theater, we’ll present a one-time-only performance of a new acto, or short comedic sketch, featuring several of the talented actors who have graced our stage in recent years. Written and directed by Artistic Director Rodrigo García, this performance will take us on a journey through the past, present, and future of our teatro.
🏙️An excerpt from our new play by Santa Clara County Poet Laureate Yosimar Reyes.
Following months of community workshops and interviews in East San José, Yosimar will read a section of No llegamos aquí solos. The play explores the struggles of a thriving immigrant community, finding the confidence of loving themselves and speaking out against injustice.
You won’t want to miss out on this landmark event–or on the afterparty!
Dance into the night with music from Russell Rodríguez and the band, and bocadillos from El Viejón.
