Biography:

David Benavidez, known as “The Mexican Monster,” is a 27-year-old American professional boxer hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, born on December 17, 1996. He has a notable career in the super-middleweight division, having held the world championship title.

Benavidez commenced his professional boxing journey at the age of 16 on August 17, 2013, with a victorious debut against Erasmo Mendoza, securing a 1st round KO.

At the age of 20, with 18 professional fights under his belt, Benavidez contested his first world title bout on September 8, 2017, against Ronald Gavril for the vacant super-middleweight WBC title. He clinched victory via a 12-round split decision, thus claiming the super-middleweight championship.

Throughout his career, Benavidez has remained undefeated, holding two world titles in the super-middleweight category. His most recent fight, a non-title bout against fellow American boxer Demetrius Andrade on November 25, 2023, ended with Benavidez securing victory via 6th round RTD.

Who’s on the Ring IV undercard?

Having seen his ‘defeat’ to Ryan Garcia subsequently ruled a no contest, Devin Haney remains unbeaten in 32 outings and he attempts to become a three-weight a world champion when he takes on Brian Norman Jr.

With a perfect 28-fight (22KOs) record, Norman Jr. is defending his WBO Welterweight belt after an impressive fifth-round victory over Jin Sasaki in Japan.

The brilliant Jesse Rodriguez makes his first appearance in Saudi Arabia as he puts his super flyweight titles on the line against Fernando Daniel Martinez.

The Argentinian is unbeaten in 18 contests but this is by far his toughest test to date against the pound-for-pound superstar from Texas.

Rising American prospect Abdullah Mason gets his first world title shot at just 21 years old when he squares off against Britain’s Sam Noakes.

The vacant WBO lightweight strap is on the line and this exciting clash between two unbeaten big punchers promises to deliver fireworks.
