About NEW Latin stage!

The longtime salsa venue the Latin Tropical Stage will now reflect the wider variety of Latin dance music now being offered there.

But it’s still the same high energy scene filled with dancers from afternoon into the night.

This year, you’ll find an SJZ Beverage Booth to help quench your thirst, and most nearby restaurants and bars will be open for service during stage hours.

Also, Culture Night Market [see below] will be hosting a dedicated music stage between sets at the Latin Tropical Stage, along with a marketplace featuring local artists and craft vendors.

Latin Tropical Stage programming is supported, in part, by the Castellano Family Foundation and by grants from Applied Materials Foundation and the Abierto program of the City of San José Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services.

Here’s the full lineup!

Culture Night Market at Latin Tropical Stage:

Culture Night Market brings an exciting array of local artists, craft vendors, musicians, and entrepreneurs to South First Street (at San Carlos Street) for a special two-day marketplace (August 13–14).

Now going strong for two years, Culture Night Market grew out of a need for creatives (who worked out of the local arts organization Local Color) to have a reliable and sustainable location to sell their works while celebrating the diverse cultures that represent downtown San Jose.

During Summer Fest 2022, Culture Night Market will also host a dedicated music stage for local artists, playing between sets at the nearby Latin Tropical Stage.
