This is an incredible and important milestone that has been over 5 years in the making!
This new 7,000 foot space on the ground floor of the Casa Sueños building is more than a home for CURYJ: It is the first building-block of community-owned infrastructure that serves as a demonstration model for creating localized alternatives to incarceration and policing.
The Youth Power Zone aims to create, belonging and healing for systems- involved youth, and a place to uplift arts and culture, promote ancestral healing practices, engage in grassroots activism, and provide culturally-rooted youth leadership development.
