DESCRIPTION:
Join us for our annual Three Kings Day Fiesta, a joyful community gathering filled with art-making, play, and shared food. This family-friendly event brings neighbors together to celebrate culture, creativity, and connection at Peralta Hacienda Historical Park.
Throughout the afternoon, kids can make bejeweled crowns, play games, and take part in raffles and giveaways. Families can enjoy warm Mexican hot chocolate and slices of Rosca de Reyes, a traditional seasonal bread with a fun surprise inside.
This fiesta is about coming together in the park to share laughter, creativity, and a lively afternoon with our community. All are welcome. We hope you’ll join us.
About Peralta Hacienda Historical Park:
Peralta Hacienda Historical Park is a six-acre City of Oakland park containing the 1870 Antonio Peralta House, outdoor historical exhibits, community gardens, and recreational areas. Friends of Peralta Hacienda Park operates the site, offering tours, events, and programs. Peralta Hacienda is on the National Park Service San Juan Bautista de Anza National Trail and is a state and local landmark.

We invite you to:
• Savor a slice of traditional rosca (holiday cake) and a cup of hot chocolate
• Help rename the Park in a Community Dialogue
• Come inside and see the Museum’s award-winning historical exhibitions
• Join a traditional holiday musical parade from Mexico called La Rama
• Art Making and Field Trip Activities for Kids
• New Pop-Up Exhibitions Outdoors
• Final reception to honor the artists of ‘Undocumented Heart’
Most of the activities will be outdoors, however we ask guests to wear face masks at all times except while actively eating or drinking. Proof of vaccination will be required to enter the Peralta House Museum. We will have plenty of masks and hand sanitizer for you.
This event is part of Belonging in Oakland • Indigenous Voices, a two-year project at Peralta Hacienda Historical Park to envision a more equitable Oakland and highlight the stories of the East Bay’s indigenous peoples in events, exhibitions, and curriculum.
