About show:

After a successful Second Annual Bay Area Latin Jazz Festival (held on August 21, 2021 at Rowell Ranch in Castro Valley), Montuno Productions is happy to announce the continuation of the festival-related concert series, with our upcoming Second Annual St. Valentine’s Day Concert, a celebration of love and friendship.

The event, planned as a classy dance concert reminiscent of Old San Juan’s Casa de España concerts in the ’70s and ’80s, will feature three great acts, including jazz vocalist, Jessy Díaz accompanied by four-time Grammy winner, Oscar Hernández (band leader of Spanish Harlem Orchestra and Alma Libre), Edgardo & Candela, and Montuno Productions All-Stars Salsa Project (a special hard salsa ensemble featuring multiple award-winning musicians led and directed by internationally-renowned pianist, composer, and arranger, Israel “Izzy” Tanenbaum).

Radio personality, Luis Medina, will be the show’s DJ and MC.

And just like the first concert, what better place for a concert like this than the majestic 7,500 square-foot California Ballroom, featuring high gold leaf ceiling, a large stage with curtains and spotlights, and a sizable and smooth dance floor. “An invitation to this impressive Art Deco landmark — just a few blocks from picturesque Lake Merritt — is an occasion to look forward to.”

Attendees will also be able to order Cuban food, catered by Yaqueline Y Su Sabor Cubano.

All attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination against Covid-19.

COVID-19 mitigation policy: Montuno Productions is committed to producing safe events for our customers (ticket-buyers), staff, artists, and the community at large. With that objective in mind, we are requiring that all event attendees provide proof of full vaccination (must be 2 weeks since second dose) as requirement for entry. We will accept CDC Vaccination Card with matching photo ID or a CA Digital Vaccine Card. Masks are required to be worn inside the venue unless actively eating or drinking.
