Festival: 28th Annual Mexica New Year [free] // San Jose

Join the largest gathering of Mexica Dancers in Aztlan at the 28th Annual Mexica New Year.

March 12 at sunrise marks the start of Yancuic Xihuitl (New Year) Ce Tochtli (One Rabbit).

Experience the nation’s oldest and largest Aztec New Year ceremony, uniting Aztec dancers from across the United States and México!

See a great line up of Traditional Dancers starting with Cali Native Traditional Dancers on Friday, Danza Azteca on Saturday at 10 AM and Sunday at 1 PM, Apache Crown Dancers, Huahua Dancers from Veracruz, Mexico, Powwow Dancers on Sunday, Mixteco Diablo Dancers on Sunday and a live performance by Mombotombo SF, with original members of Malo and Santana.

Hours: Friday: 5-11 PM,
Saturday Sunrise 6 AM – 8 PM,
Sunday 9 AM – 6 PM.  [see 3 day schedule below].
